Ahh…the coolness of winter makes me forget the gorgeous colors of all the other seasons. I was feeling in the mood for a pink wedding. The soft and strong tones of pink can be used in so many ways to bring romance to your special day. All you need is a little inspiration.
If you are more into the softer tones, don’t be afraid that the pale pink colors will feel washed out. It was a fear I had for my wedding day. I paired soft shades of pink with candles and splashes of brighter tones and it looked phenomenal. If you’re someone who loves color and wishes to go the brighter route, go for it! Bold pink tones look great with lots of greens and will definitely add a lot of personality to your wedding day. Just remember, not everything has to be pink, subtle accents are often enough to accentuate your main color.
Here’s a bit of inspiration for all you brides, regardless of where you stand on the pink spectrum! Enjoy =)
I think this is one of the cheapest and simplest decorations I have ever made. I saw this tutorial on Ruffled and decided that I NEEDED to try it! The result was awesome and the process was extremely fun. The garland is perfect for birthdays, showers, any gatherings and even wedding decorations! I enjoyed it so much I decided to share it with you!
Twine (I used pink)
Tissue Paper (go wild with the colors) Fringe Garland (love the metallic colors)
1. Fold the tissue paper in half (taking a few pieces at a time) and cut fringe strips.
2. Separate the tissue paper and twist the top, securing with twine.
3. Repeat the same for the metallic tassels.
5. Put it all on a long piece of twine and play around with the lengths.
6. Put your own twist on it and include pictures of the person in honor (bride/groom or birthday girl/boy) to make your own beautiful hanging collage!
Oh gosh, how I love the idea of planting seeds in eggs shells. It is such an organic and natural way of starting a small garden in your own home. The eggs shells make for some inexpensive “pots” that can support seed growth at the earliest stages. Totally loving how this looks and how easy it is to do!
My mind is in intense wedding mode. All I can think of is flowers and glitter. I have engaged in some DIY projects at home that involve spray paint and gold glitter! Totally excited to do some arts and crafts at home. Throughout this whole wedding season, I have really come to appreciate the various combinations of colors, of which blush pink and gold are my favorite!
Sometimes I dream about the future renewal of our vows with my hubby when we will be more financially stable, have less expectations (with less guests), and I will be able to have all the elements of a wedding that I always wanted. When that day will come, my glitter obsession will have no limit and I will create everything myself (maybe even food). I will have an abundance of peonies in soft romantic tones with lots of elements of gold! I will recreate the perfect vision that I have in my mind.
But until then I will delight in the beautiful venue that we rented for our wedding at the end of the month with all the compromises and sacrifices we had to make and hope the day will turn out beautiful. Really excited to walk down the aisle, to me thats the most beautiful and touching part of any wedding!
